ButtonPusherCalculator
A free calculator for machine operators.
ButtonPusherCalculator is a lightweight shop calculator for machinists, CNC operators, and anyone who needs fast machining math at the machine. It covers everyday setup calculations, geometry, measurement checks, and reference charts in a simple desktop program.
What it helps with
Use ButtonPusherCalculator for common machining calculations, feed and speed setup,
reference chart lookup, and geometry problems that come up during setup or operation.
The program is designed for simple installation: download it, unzip it, and run
BPC.EXE.
Machining calculations
- Work out spindle RPM, feed rates, and surface speed conversions.
- Calculate feeds and speeds using material, tool diameter, and cutting conditions.
- Estimate material removal rate and required horsepower.
- Adjust for chip thinning when using high-efficiency or dynamic milling toolpaths.
- Use drill point calculations alongside drill-size and tap-drill references.
Shop math and geometry
- Solve bolt circle coordinates and hole positions.
- Calculate chord data and circular segment dimensions.
- Solve right-angle trigonometry and oblique triangle calculations.
- Lay out grid pattern coordinates.
Measurement tools
- Calculate dovetail measurements.
- Measure threads using the three-wire method.
- Determine regular polygon dimensions.
- Check keyseat and keyway specifications.
- Calculate taper angles and taper dimensions.
- Convert and compare surface finish parameters.
Built-in references
- Tap and drill size charts.
- G-code and M-code references.
- Material property references.
- Hardness conversion references.
